Flash Meets Photo Test

Hey ALL. Its been a LONG time since ive updated and thats because ive been EXTREAMLY busy. But its all to do with work, and work is art and creativity, so im ok with that :P.

these are two pieces i did recently for a music video concept. I think its a little too close to Gorillaz style, so im gonna have to take a step back i think.

My goal with these two, was to find a good way to blend real photos with Flash characters. So let me know what you think..... feedback welcome.

this is a first concept piece for a short film i may be working on. i like the simplicity of the design, and i think it will work well animated. the background and style will be similar throughout the short. Any thoughts??????

this was done in painter 7. Now i am in NO way a painter. in fact i fear the thought of it. but i had this image in my mind for a while now, and figured creating it in flash just wouldn't do it justice. So there it is...

drew this at work today. really didn't feel like animating. Its somehing you really need to be focused and in the mood to do...and today was not one of those days. So i drew this!. :)

Ok, so its been a while since i updated. And i felt bad, truely i did. anyway i drew this fairly quickly at the end of a shift at work one day. I might animate him, if i find time.

well... i finally got my computer back, and i thought it was going to be completely wiped... but alas, it was not. so i found myself going through a lot of my old work i had on there, and i found these life drawings. and i still kinda like them ;)

The season of the show im working on is almost over... so i hope to get back to working on the Bird shorts. but for now, these drawings are to keep my blog updated :D.

was tired of working, so i just started doodling. ended up as this. i was playing with shadow and I kind of like this effect as appose to the usual lighting i apply.

ok.... Ive been very busy lately. But promis to be back in the loop soon. with a couple jobs on the go, and computer problems, its been hard for me to find time to do any illustrations. So i will hopefully be getting back into the routine. thanks for everyones comments... in my absence. very much appreciated. My next post will be something better to look. :)

I make these little drawings on my computer at work, so that when i feel like drawing.... and i switch over to this page.... it reminds me what i should be doing.

heres another one... funny thing is..i usually end up playing with these drawings too much anyway.. so i dont get work done in the end.

and here's the proof that my brilliant idea...really isn't working at all...I still manage to get distracted and draw stuff. (oh... and thats a bird in a jar)

and heres a quick sketch of a friend at work (KT)... doesn't really look like her.... but it was like 20 seconds... and i like the way it looks

so thats a day at work for me... don't ask me how much work i actually got done..... :P

well.... sometimes work just gets a little boring..so i sit back, relax.... and doodle a bit.... and then quickly act like im working whenever someone walks by....hehe
